Graphic Design

How can we help you?
We can take jobs from initial concepts to final print-ready artwork in most areas of print design. We can work within an established design style, and join the workflow virtually anywhere along the design process.

From ideas to paper…

Graphic design is defined as is the art of designing advertisements, magazines, and books by combining pictures and words. In technical terms, this is correct, in our case using the latest industry design software. But graphic design involves a lot more than simply combining pictures and words. Of course, content is king as ever, be it images or copy. There is much more that goes into a good design, and the brainstorming, scoping and creative processes before anything hits paper or screen, is a central part of the graphic design process. We’ll walk you through as much or as little as you like throughout the whole design process.

There are three main types of graphic design we do. Find out more below…

Design for Print

This simply means anything designed that will end up being physically printed in some form such as on paper or exhibition panels. This includes printed book and magazine adverts, stationery, catalogues, posters, point-of-sale, CD covers, DVD covers, exhibition stand graphics, corporate identity and many other projects.

Digital Design

Digital design is relatively new since the dawn of computers being available to the masses. It is a very fast-moving design area encompassing website and email design, design for social media and the list goes on. Alongside web development, graphic design and marketing, digital design is increasingly becoming a part of all areas of design. For example, you can produce artwork (electronically) for a printed book, and then re-purpose that content for an ebook. Of course, video production for content is now also a massive area that integrates into digital design.

Mac Artworking

Mac artworking is generally centred around the digital design and production stage of a project. This will typically be after much of the initial creative side of the project has already been carried out. Mac artworking also involves updating / re-purposing and re-sizing or transferring from traditional artwork to digital artwork for a new lease of life or a specification change.

‘I have worked with Creative Bytes for many years and found the attention to detail to be quite outstanding. They are extremely thorough in all aspects of design and page layout, whilst still maintaining a creative flair. Creative Bytes have a great understanding of the book industry, both in its physical and digital form, with a broad range of knowledge in typography.’
